IRIS Health 'Universe DB' configuration

This link would be handy, if I could figure out how to 'set up' an IRIS / Universe DB..

Is there a 'how to' guide for doing this? I can't find anything specific, although, I know it can be done, because I have worked on a Cache/ Universe set up.

I suspect it will be problematic because, I want to do this on my local pc, which is not running as server. But, I know steps for this will involve creating a new DSN, the installation and configuration of an ODBC driver,  a running Universe database,  and, a new IRIS data source\connection.
