When upgrading a Health Connect, do I have to recompile?

When upgrading a Health Connect deployment from 2014 to 2016 do I HAVE to recompile? or is the "just upgrading" enough?

I don't have experience upgrading Health Connect, but according to the documentation, it is equivalent to an Ensemble upgrade, which, along with other steps, requires a recompile with:
Do $system.OBJ.CompileAllNamespaces("u")
