Problems with Strings

I am accessing IRIS databases with JDBC (or ODBC) using Python. I want to fetch the data into a pandas dataframe to manipulate the data and create charts from it. I ran into a problem with string handling while using JDBC. This post is to help if anyone else has the same issues. Or, if there is an easier way to solve this, let me know in the comments!

I am using OSX, so I am unsure how unique my problem is. I am using Jupyter Notebooks, although the code would generally be the same if you used any other Python program or framework.

The JDBC problem

For those of you who still use the Studio IDE for ObjectScript programming and are going through the process of migrating to VS Code, did you know there's a section in the VS Code documentation just for you? Have a look at the Migrating from Studio chapter. It covers:

Say I want to uninstall the IKO - all I need to do is:

> helm uninstall intersystems

What happens behind the scenes is that helm will uninstall what was installed when you ran :

> helm install intersystems <relative/path/to/iris-operator>

In some sense - this is symmetric to when we ran install - however with a different image.

You'll notice that when you install, it knows what image to take from:

For uninstall the image to take note of is:

With the world (as well as our own technology) moving to the cloud at such a fast pace it is easy (at least for myself) to get caught up in the little details. One thing I, and some clients of ours, had run into a couple of times was the necessity to specify the version of the images one plans to use with the IKO.

I had attempted to create a REST Operation before but did not have success. As I am going through the Tutorials and Documentation everything references REST services, but I have a case where I want to create a REST Operation that makes Epic API calls against Interconnect. I have done SOAP operations before and we currently have one in our Production Namespace, but from what I understand SOAP has the wsdl which defines al the structures and etc, where REST does not. 

An interim idea to bring more dark to the docs with different font.

Process:

• In Firefox web browser address bar navigate to: "about:support"
• Look for label "Profile Folder", and click on the corresponding "Open Folder" button.
• Drill-down / Open sub-folder called Chrome.
• Create file here called: userContent.css

Looking at the documentation, I see that the global ^ROUTINE brings the information and code of the .INT version of the routines. However, I would like to know where the equivalent information of the .MAC version is, as I did not find any reference to this in the documentation.
Some information in the .MAC version are hidden or already converted into the .INT version, and I would like to have access to this information through the system, and not just opening the routine in the studio.

We would like to add our custom reporting with the IRIS database which is running on IDX at client server. Would need a technical documents which allow us to review the tables and its definitions. I tried to install ODBC but it not showing the schema of all tables.

Looks like someone's been messing with the style sheets ...I've tried Edge, Chrome and Firefox and for all the versions I've checked, the class docs are formatted like this:

In the past, technical documentation of the source code and software products was generated in chm, pdf files and documentation generators of the programming languages themselves. This old approach had the following limitations:
1. Outdated documentation;
2. Non-interactive and difficult to consult documentation;
3. Layout unresponsive, unfriendly and not adherent to HTML;
4. Inability to customize the layout of the documentation;
5. Inability to have HTML 5 documentation online and offline.
6. Lack of Markdown support.

Hi Everyone,

I've been working on deploying an IRIS for Health environment in EKS. There is a video session in the InterSystems learning portal about this feature but I have not succeeded in finding the proper documentation and resources to use this in my Kubernetes cluster.

Has this been deprecated/discontinued? Any idea where can I find the resources? Should I stick to StatefulSets instead of using the IrisCluster resource type provided by this operator?

Is there documentation in Portuguese?

The underlying changes include a new style sheet and a complete rewrite of the code we use to generate HTML.  (There is now an underlying API for retrieving content as JSON, as well as a large set of unit tests -- for those of you who like that kind of thing!)

I am trying to work through our upgrading steps from 2015.2.2 to Health Connect 2019.1. Is there a place online I can access previous versions of Health Connect documentation? I am specifically looking for Health Connect 2018.1.2 documentation so I can understand the upgrade process on AIX.

Downloading the release notes for 2018.1 gives the 2017.1 PDF release notes.

Can someone please correct this or direct me where the release notes could be found

The InterSystems DBMS has a built-in technology for working with non-structured data called iKnow and a full-text search technology called iFind. We decided to take a dive into both and make something useful. As the result, we have DocSearch — a web application for searching in InterSystems documentation using iKnow and iFind.

I'm looking for information, suggestions, video (courses) on make a lot more use of the documatic system already built into Cache,

Probably talked of before within this forum, but after an hour or two of searching, can't find the articles that I mmay have seen before.

I want to do a lot more documenting of my installation, we use and actively comment classes and methods, but I want to take it further by actually documenting the "why" and high level "how" my system works. Documatic seems a good place to put that knowledge.
