I was really surprised that such a flexible integration platform with a rich toolset specifically for app connections has no out-of-the-box Enterprise Service Bus solution. Like Apache ServiceMix, Mule ESB, SAP PI/PO, etc, what’s the reason? What do you think? Has this pattern lost its relevance completely nowadays? And everybody moved to message brokers, maybe?

Using a WSDL and the SOAP wizard I created a WebServiceClient, and Operation to send an encoded message to a Vendor. But the vendor is now sending back an HL7 in the SOAP response.

I tried updating the Operation to Extend EnsLib.HL7.Operation.ReplyStandard, but still use the EnsLib.SOAP.OutboundAdapter. When I did this it broke my Operation and would not compile with the following error...

I am attempting to follow the tutorial at Publishing Web Services Using Caché | Caché Web Services QuickStart Tutorial | Caché & Ensemble 2018.1.4 – 2018.1.11 to build a toy SOAP web-service using Cache but am running into what I suspect are permissions issues, or perhaps setting up the "plumbing" to get an incoming request to call the web-service methods.

Ensemble instance running on local laptop. Only the Ensemble private web-server installed on the machine (no IIS or Apache).

I have an application that is requires an Encoded HL7 message sent over SOAP over HTTPS using SSL/TLS... the Response that is return is also encoded, which I know how to Decode but not sure when I Decode the response how to Extract the HL7 message to send back to the router.

How do I capture the Routing Source System and parse the encoded message back into an HL7 format that would show on the trace viewer?

Below is an example...where I get the response and want to send it back to FeederScottRouting as an HL7 message that can be tied to the Parent ID of the sending request message?

We have a vendor that is requiring that the HL7 sent to them is sent as an Encoded message inside a SOAP request but is sending back an HL7 message as the response.

When the WSDL built the response, it was expecting an encoded message back. I updated the Request and Business Operation to expect an EnsLib.HL7.Message, however I am not sure how to handle the HL7 ACK to post it back to the sending message so it will not cause an Orphan message, and to parse it back correctly in the trace viewer.

When I do a $$$LOGINFO on the pResponse, I get back...

I am having a hard time trying to figure out the following...

Within a DTC, I was able to take the a EnsLib.HL7.Message source and using

set a= $System.Encryption.Base64Encode(source.RawContent)
set encodedMessage=$Get(a)

to take the HL7 message encode it and add it to the Data Class as a string to be sent to an Operation to be sent out as a SOAP Request.

However to make it more universal I tried doing this within a copy of EnsLib.HL7.SOAPOperation

Question Stephen De Gabrielle · Jul 17, 2019

Hi,

While HL7 Errors ACKs come back in the soap response, the HL7v2 Error ACK message is not processed.

I used the SOAP Wizard to construct my classes, but the generated code doesn't handle the HL7v2 ACK.
Does health Connect have a class that handles this?

Failing an official solution should I go ahead and make make my own classes based on EnsLib.HL7.Operation.TCPOperation, but wrapping it with the generated SOAP handling code.

How have others dealt with this?

WSDL for a CDC vendor was provided with a URL using a custom socket (non 443). Everything generated fine, but when making calls to their https:// URL that has their custom port in the URL - no response comes back. The assumption is, their server isn't even processing the request, as Postman does using the custom https://path.to.server:NNNN port in the URL.

As you might have heard, we just introduced the InterSystems API Manager (IAM); a new feature of the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform™, enabling you to monitor, control and govern traffic to and from web-based APIs within your IT infrastructure. In case you missed it, here is the link to the announcement.

In this article, I will show you how to set up IAM and highlight some of the many capabilities IAM allows you to leverage.

Hello Community,

I'm trying to import WSDL service descriptions from Gematik (https://www.gematik.de/) to allow communication with the german TI infrastructure using the TI connectors webservice interface over a IRIS healthconnect SOAP operation. For import I'm using the SOAP Wizard Add-Inn from Studio.

The WSDL files can be found here: https://fachportal.gematik.de/fileadmin/Fachportal/Downloadcenter/Schemata-_und_WSDL-Dateien/Schema-_und_WSDL-Dateien/OPB3.1_Schemadateien_R3.1.2_Kon_PTV3_20191002.zip

I'm trying to call a SOAP web service which is implemented in .NET Classic and requires NTLM authentication. The client class was generated by %SOAP.WSDL.Reader. The problem is that neither NTLM authentication works nor can I handle the exception since VSCode debugger says that all meaningful fields and properties are empty (the same request works fine in Postman):

We've got some web services that utilise EnsLib.SOAP.Service/EnsLib.REST.Service. These do some further requests to a few operations to call some other services and return the combined results.

An issue that we are noticing is that some of the usage involves users hitting the refresh button a few too many times and generating a lot of requests. This is mostly an issue when the service that the operations are calling are down or slow to respond. IRIS starts using a lot of RAM when this occurs and has caused outages by getting through an extra 50-60GB of RAM.

A customer recently asked if IRIS supported OpenTelemetry as they where seeking to measure the time that IRIS implemented SOAP Services take to complete. The customer already has several other technologies that support OpenTelemetry for process tracing. At this time, InterSystems IRIS (IRIS) do not natively support OpenTelemetry.

There are often questions surrounding the ideal Apache HTTPD Web Server configuration for HealthShare. The contents of this article will outline the initial recommended web server configuration for any HealthShare product.

As a starting point, Apache HTTPD version 2.4.x (64-bit) is recommended. Earlier versions such as 2.2.x are available, however version 2.2 is not recommended for performance and scalability of HealthShare.

Hello,

First of all thanks for your help.

We have the following scenario: some responses include special characters as ">" and "<" which are being put inside a property defined as:

Property PACPROBLEMAS As %String(MAXLEN = "", XMLNAME = "PAC_PROBLEMAS");

So then, when we observe the LOG SOAP it shows that the Target System replies to the ESB as follows:

➡️ <PAC_PROBLEMAS>46807#278.01#OBESIDAD INFANTIL GRAVE ( Z-SCORE IMC >2,70 ) #19/09/2019##N#</PAC_PROBLEMAS>

I don't have a current project where I am needing to create a new operation that uses SOAP at the moment but as someone who still has some SOAP connections in her Production, I was curious if VSCode had an equivalent to the SOAP Wizard that helped create all of the SOAP classes needed based on the provided WSDL? Does anyone know? Or has this become a manual process?
Thanks in advance for help curbing my curiosity!

Hello everyone, I need some help.

I have to send some events for a government WebService that I already imported the WSDL and XSD's and It worked fine and I'm able to build the message and connect into the service, but It has been rejected with the message that the XML is wrong and the only diference between the Caché SOAP message to all the examples that the government gave us is the header:

This is how the Government is expecting the message:

My first issue is, the IRISUsername and IRISPassword parameters don't seem to work.

i've tried the following url:

result:
Error loading: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: error: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.

not entirely sure what is happening here.

Hello,

First of all thanks for your time, and thanks for your help.

We have the following doubt: how HTTP status is being replied from a SOAP Service to the Outbund System?

Where in HealtShare 2020's classes is being replied an HTTP/200 OK or an HTTP/500 or any SOAP HTTP status code?

We ask this because some outbound systems do need to have an HTTP 200 to being able to process our SOAP responses.

We have been examining the following classes:

EnsLib.SOAP.Service

%SOAP.WebService

%SOAP.WebBase

Good morning,

First of all thanks for reading this question.

We have been asked by a client to check if our Soap Service has charset / encoding "UTF-8".

We have been investigating the class "EnsLib.SOAP.InboundAdapter".

We only observe one reference to the charset as "Set tCT=$S(tCST:"binary/CST; charset=UTF-8"

Inside the method: WriteResp

We have read:

First of all, thanks for your help, and time reading this question.

Why, when we send a SOAP message from SoapUI to a SOAP service in a HealthShare environment called 'ESBCHUIMI,' it recognizes the 'Credenciales' header, which has 'usuario' and 'password' as properties. This class is a %SOAP.Header.

However, when we load the WSDL using the SOAP wizard from this SOAP Service to another HealthShare environment called ESBSSCC and send it from SoapUI to ESBSSCC, when it is being forwarded from ESBSSCC to ESBCHUIMI, the ESBCHUIMI's service outputs:

Hi,

We recently updated Ensemble, on our Unix DEV server , from version 2013.x to 2015.2.3 (Build 855U) and when we test our SSL/TLS configuration we get the following error:

ERROR #729: Certificate /qmd/ens_chldev_1/mgr/SILCert/SILCSSSJR-CER.cer is not valid for TLS Web client authentication .

The certificate was working fine before the update in DEV and it is working fine in our PROD Unix server with Ensemble 2012.x. Any ideas why we are getting this error?

Regards
