Evgeny, there is a huge difference between Global variables and Global arrays, as there are between variables and arrays, regardless of what they are called. Calling them Global variables and Global arrays may aid in understanding, however.

The example document is provided as an aid in downloading. It is intended as an addendum to the book Caché and MUMPS – Part II and contains no explanations of the examples in and of itself.

I have two comments on the current documentation:

1) It seems that the documentation is aimed at the developer with an average level of knowledge. Which leaves the beginner totally lost.

2) Many times the current documentation makes leaps of logic, and unless you can leap with it, you are out of luck.

On the new URL, what happened to the Feature Map and the Master Index? I use the Index all the time. Has it moved or just been dropped?

If I want a definition of a word, the master index was always the place to go.

Instead of searching through pages and pages that talk around the word I want.

I was just trying to find out the command to get my pid, I believe the Master Index would have it.

Instead, I have spent 15 minutes of wasted time searching and still don't know how to get it.

The search utility is good for some things, really bad for others.

Why not have multiple ways of going in through the documentation?

But, it makes no difference, my voice does not count, so typical.

I don't have a license, I am using the TryCache installation.

I looked up License in the Management Portal and the License server shows

Host Name/IP Address of 127.0.0.1

You said to define and use a Remote Server,

can you get me started on how to do that?

Sergei, I did set up a remote server.

I went through the remote server and connected to Studio.

But when I go through the remote server to connect to Terminal, the Terminal is greyed out and I am unable to connect.

First of all, thank you, it seems you have taken on a huge project here, I commend you for it.

Now, two questions,

1) Does it handle multiple searches like Google does. When I separate several words by a comma? And the comma indicating an "And" condition. ie: if I want to search for Cache AND Loops with search "Cache, Loops"

2) When getting search results, would it be possible to put the results in a new Tab in explorer?

Suppose I did not ask, took your snippet and assumed to worked for all files?

All I am saying is the assumption you used (Russian style files) should be part of your documentation so someone not familiar with these style of files would know. Any (unfamiliar) assumptions should be documented.

It could be that the cube is there but hidden by your system tray.

There should be a down arrow on the left side of the system tray.

Click on it and you should see the cube which you can bring to the visible part of the system tray.

Thanks for the suggestion John, but re-installing the same version over the current version did not restore the Samples namespace to its "Installed State."

Kyle, yes, I suppose that would work, I guess I was looking for something a bit more elegant. But, whatever works.

Perhaps there should be something in place, where multiple developers don't step on each other as they work in Samples, but that is for another post.
