We have an ObjectScript application that runs in Cache' and IRIS. Our typical installation involves a .zip file containing several files necessary for the installation and operation of the application. Steps are: expand the .zip file to a folder that will not be used by the application. Do ^%RI for the installation routines in the production namespace. Do the Installation routine. We have a customer that is trying to do a silent installation. He does not want to have to respond to any prompts on the installation. We do have a silent option for the Installation routine and that is working well.
We are trying to use Git for Source Code control in our existing application. Currently all Source Control is a manual process. We are running IRIS on a Windows server. The git extension has been installed and initial configuration done. We do get the git tab in Studio. We keep getting the following error:
Git Status:
fatal: detected dubious ownership in repository at 'C:/KBS/dev/server/db'
'C:/KBS/dev/server/db' is owned by:
'S-1-1-0'
but the current user is:
'S-1-5-18'
To add an exception for this directory, call:git config --global --add safe.directory C:/KBS/dev/server/db.
I tried both the latest 32-bit and 64-bit Cache ODBC drivers, but I’m getting this “Message sequencing error” when I attempt to connect to the Cache server. Client is a Windows Server 2022. Server is a 2008 version of Cache ( or customer thinks). I’ve tried a number of things without success. If I enter invalid credentials I do get the quick “Access Denied” response. But when I have the proper IP/port/namespace/credentials I consistently get this error below. Google shows others struggle with that error, but no resolution. I’m suspicious that the version of ODBC needs to be in synch with
I am trying to use git-source-control with IRIS.
