Question Michael Poxon · Jun 2, 2023

How do I get a new license key for an expired community edition?

I haven't used the product in a while but just discovered it won't start because the key is expired.  Is it possible to get a new one?

Product version: IRIS 2022.1
$ZV: IRIS for Windows (x86-64) 2022.1 (Build 209) Tue May 31 2022 12:32:18 EDT

Have you tried to update your 2022.1 version with the last one? You just need to run the installer of the last version to launch the update.

you can reach out to your account manager to get an updated key if you need to stay on the same version of the Community Edition

Well...I was hoping there was a way to convert this into a never-expire thing, but I am downloading the latest version and will upgrade.  Thanks for the feedback!

you can get a longer-lasting license from your account manager.  the sort term license is the embedded one that ships by default

In case of IRIS Community Edition just download the newest desktop version or pull the latest docker image - both will contain the refreshed license
