For a long time I have wanted to learn the Django framework, but another more pressing project has always taken priority. Like many developers, I use python when it comes to machine learning, but when I first learned web programming PHP was still enjoying primacy, and so when it was time for me to pick up a new complicated framework for creating web applications to publish my machine learning work, I still turned to PHP. For a while I have been using a framework called Laravel to build my websites, and this PHP framework introduced me to the modern Model-View-Controller pattern of web

IRIS supports CCDA and FHIR transformations out-of-the-box, yet the ability to access and view those features requires considerable setup time and product knowledge. The IRIS Interop DevTools application was designed to bridge that gap, allowing implementers to immediately jump in and view the built-in transformation capabilities of the product.

In addition to the IRIS XML, XPath, and CCDA Transformation environment, the Interop DevTools package now provides:

Hi community.

I was wondering if it was possible to use something like EnsLib.SQL.InboundAdapter with tables in IRIS.

This library monitors when a record has been inserted into a table in an external database, so it requires a DSN to connect to that database.

My goal is to make a call to an external API that takes a long time, it could spend nearly an hour (or more) completing its processes, but I don't want to block the main process.

I'm a huge sci-fi fan, but while I'm fully onboard the Star Wars train (apologies to my fellow Trekkies!), but I've always appreciated the classic episodes of Star Trek from my childhood. The diverse crew of the USS Enterprise, each masterminding their unique roles, is a perfect metaphor for understanding AI agents and their power in projects like Facilis. So, let's embark on an intergalactic mission, leveraging AI as our ship's crew and  boldly go where no man has gone before!  This teamwork concept is a wonderful analogy to illustrate how AI agents work and how we use them in our DC-Facilis

Hi all,

As part of the development an API to know what is the instance of IRIS is connected, I've found some methods to know information about the server that can help you.

Get the server name: $SYSTEM.INetInfo.LocalHostName()

Get the server IP: $SYSTEM.INetInfo.HostNameToAddr($SYSTEM.INetInfo.LocalHostName())

Get the instance name: $PIECE($SYSTEM,":",2)

So, I have created the following code as BS class:

In this article I will be discussing the use of an alternative LLM for generative IA. OpenIA is commonly used, in this article I will show you how to use it and the advantages of using Ollama

In the generative AI usage model that we are used to, we have the following flow:

  • we take texts from a data source (a file, for example) and embedding that text into vectors
  • we store the vectors in an IRIS database.
  • we call an LLM (Large Language Model) that accesses these vectors as context to generate responses in human language.

Monitoring your IRIS deployment is crucial. With the deprecation of System Alert and Monitoring (SAM), a modern, scalable solution is necessary for real-time insights, early issue detection, and operational efficiency. This guide covers setting up Prometheus and Grafana in Kubernetes to monitor InterSystems IRIS effectively.

This guide assumes you already have an IRIS cluster deployed using the InterSystems Kubernetes Operator (IKO), which simplifies deployment, integration and mangement.

Why Prometheus and Grafana?

In the world of APIs, REST is very extended. But what happens when you need more flexibility in your data-fetching strategies? For instance letting the client to choose what fields is going to receive. Enter GraphQL, a query language for your APIs that provides a flexible alternative to REST.

In this post, we will:

  • Compare REST and GraphQL.
  • Dive into the basics of GraphQL: Queries, Mutations, and HTTP.
  • Build a simple GraphQL server implementation using Graphene, SQLAlchemy, and Flask over data in InterSystems IRIS.
  • Explore how to deploy your GraphQL server as a WSGI application in IRIS.

Hello all,

We are currently developing a set of cubes in Unified Care Report (UCR) for data analysis purposes. However, we are encountering issues with cube dependencies, where certain cubes rely on others to be compiled beforehand. The complexity of these dependencies is becoming increasingly difficult to manage, particularly when attempting to deploy the cubes.

The problem arises when trying to compile a cube that depends on another cube, which may also have its own dependencies. For instance, when compiling the Test.Cube.EncounterHealthPlans cube, we receive the following error:

I have a scenario where I send a GET request to a broker and receive a FHIR response. When I attempted to use the built-in InterSystems functions to convert this FHIR response into SDA, the transformation failed—likely because it is not a standard FHIR request.

How should I handle this situation? Is there a recommended approach to processing FHIR responses in this context?

Question Ali Chaib · Feb 7

I understand that InterSystems provides functions to facilitate transactions between FHIR and HL7 via the SDA segment. My question is:

  • Does this transformation only work when InterSystems receives FHIR requests and converts them into HL7, or does it also support responses?
  • Specifically, if our operation sends a GET request to a broker and receives a FHIR response, does InterSystems support transforming this response into an SDA segment automatically?
  • Or should we manually parse and modify the response to handle it according to our needs?

Hello, I have a problem with a call and I would need some help.

When I call an API with the SendFormDataArray method of the EnsLib.HTTP.OutboundAdapter adapter, I pass it a %Net.HttpRequest object and I receive the following error:

ERROR #5002: ObjectScript error: <SUBSCRIPT>MatchSuffix+1^%Net.HttpRequest.1 ^%qPublicSuffix("")

I have correctly entered the url in my business operation and I pass it in the last parameter of the SendFormDataArray method. Do you have any idea, please?

Hello everyone,

I’m facing issues with replicating data from my Caché 2016 database to a PostgreSQL database. I need to handle around 300 data updates per minute, and whenever certain tables are modified, those changes must be reflected in other databases.

So far, I’ve tried various approaches, including:

  • Setting up an intermediary API,
  • Using Azure Service Bus,
  • Leveraging Caché Jobs,
  • All of which rely on table triggers as the entry point.

It might be something related to request path but not really sure.

And this is the HTTP service I'm using

I tried this with Postman and it's working as expected

Am I missing something ?

1. Query Track information by making use of the Spotify API

2. Store the necessary data into my own album, artists, and track table

so.... what next?🤔 How about I set up my own REST API service on my IRIS for the other people to query my table?🤔🤨

Lets come back to the API document https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/tutorials/getting-started

Base on my understanding, this piece of API do not have a token called refresh_token, as a result, we can assume the logic like following

What The Sample Does

This sample was cloned from iris-interoperability-template. I have reconfigured the interoperability Production with an Inbound HTTP Adapter which is used by a HTTP Business Service. The configuration details for the business service are specified in System Default Settings. I configured Call Interval setting to call HTTPServer once every hour. You can change both the URL and frequency in the service's settings. Screenshot
